The colonial charm wraps you in history, making dining at the Menger Bar an adventure in itself. The assorted muffins are like local legends on your plate. The nearby culinary scene is on fire with Haagen Dazs Ice Cream, Colonial Room Restaurant, and more.

The room roulette left us feeling like we were in a Texan telenovela, with bed size drama and roof views stealing the show.

The historic property is always pleasing, and the staff was terrific. Despite a few hiccups with valet parking, the location couldn't have been better for exploring nearby landmarks like The Alamo and La Villita Historic Arts Village. The hotel's rich history and excellent staff made for a memorable stay, while the relaxation facilities like the swimming pool and garden area added to our enjoyment and family bonding experience.

The location was very central, really close to so many great attractions, and there were historic sites and a theater next door to the venue.

the menger is amazing - beautiful, and clean. the location is top tier - right at the center of everything you'd want to do. the bar is awesome, and their champagne brunch is a must on sundays. doreen at the front desk was excellent with helping to find deals and navigate around the city.

The outdoor pool was a refreshing oasis in the heat of San Antonio. It was like finding an emerald in a desert, offering a cool respite from the bustling city. I spent hours there, feeling like a mermaid in a sea of tranquility.

Lack of modern amenities.

The property was in the heart of the city. The room was recently refurbished, neat and had an amazing view.

Our bed was very uncomfortable.

The staff here is outstanding and super helpful, exactly what we were hoping for, and the location is perfect, within walking distance of all the main tourist spots.

The hotel had a very central setting within walking distance of the majority of San Antonio's major tourist attractions.

We visited the iconic Pearl Brewery and had a blast exploring the neighborhood blocks. The cooking classes were so fun and the local farmers' produce was amazing! Plus, we checked out the 50 points of interest tour and the historic downtown area - so much cool history and picture-perfect spots for Instagram!

The only thing that would have made our stay even better would be if they had a more happening nightlife scene for young party-goers like us.

The location was mind-blowing, right by the main attractions. The historical ambiance and activities were super fun. The convenient and lovely pool area was a great touch. The staff's quick and considerate response to our situation was simply great!

The units are stocked, newly decorated. Nice touch to have a fridge, an air conditioning and an iron.

Generally, enjoyed this luxury accommodation with affable staff with the overall services I received by the staff. I ate in the pretty good restaurant for breakfast which was reasonably priced.

The rooms here are large, the breakfast is amazing, the bathrooms are quite clean with bathtubs, and the location is fantastic with historic sites and a theater nearby.

During my recent business trip to San Antonio, my director chose the historic Menger Hotel for our stay, and I must say, it was a delightful choice. The Fitness Center was a great way for me to stay on track with my workout routine, offering a variety of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, and a barbell weight set. The fitness bike was a welcomed addition, giving me the perfect opportunity to keep my cardio game strong even while traveling.

For us it was ideal.
